It was the year 2015 when this video was released.
I remembered meeting them at the former Paya Lebar Singapore Post’s Long John Silver, ready to be turned down. I was discharged from IMH just a couple of months earlier, still in therapy, and already faced countless dismissals for my collaborative proposals. I was afraid to harbor high hopes for it to materialize. So, it came to me as a huge surprise when they agreed resoundingly.
They were the FIRST people I collaborated with for the awareness.
It was also the much-needed breakthrough after the episodes of meltdown. For them to render an act of kindness and assistance to a total stranger at the lowest point of my life is so powerful that I still harp on these positive memories to keep me going. Seven years since the video was posted, E for Endometriosis has grown into a movement embraced and supported by many beautiful hearts, with collaborative work coming from different walks of life, ranging from healthcare professionals, governmental institutions, and corporate events to non-profit organizations overseas.
I am beyond grateful to them, and I can never say thank you enough. Thank you once again Zuhairi & Hafidz of Lepak One Korner Official. Thank you a million times. You both are always in my doa. May Allah bless you with His infinite mercy and rahmah, may you always be in good health with love and joy, and may you be among the successful here and in the hereafter. Amiin.
It is another milestone for E for Endometriosis to be invited to exhibit at the #PAPWW #ActionForHer: Growing Our Circles of Care community exhibition and be part of the closed-door PAP Women's Wing annual conference, where DPM Lawrence Wong will deliver the keynote address.
