Ms. Namira Mohamad
Ms. Namira is recognised for her bubbly persona. With her Energizer bunny exterior, who would have known she is fighting the final stage of Endometriosis. She has 13 surgical scars to prove it. She also seeks treatment for Adenomyosis, fertility & Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Realising there is no form of assistance in Singapore for this disease, she set up E for Endometriosis with hope that it would be the one stop avenue for support & awareness.
Ever since the establishment in 2012, Ms. Namira has worked tirelessly in starting conversations on taboo topics such as the social prejudices on infertility and menstruation which intertwine with Endometriosis. She believes strongly that having fertility problems do not make a woman any less of a woman and that society should stop grading someone’s worth from how well their reproductive system functions.
Ms. Namira has since collaborated with several healthcare professionals, media platforms and organizations in paving the way for the betterment of women’s wellness particularly in relation to Endometriosis.
