DO YOU HAVE ENDOMETRIOSIS AND PCOS? WHAT IF YOU HAVE BOTH?

PCOS (POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME) is a hormonal disorder where excess androgen production and insulin resistance causes irregular cycles, hair growth, acne, infertility, weight gain and many other chronic issues.

Endometriosis is an inflammatory disorder where tissue similar to lining of uterus is found outside the uterus and it causes painful periods, chronic pelvic pain, infertility, depression, fatigue and many other symptoms.

Absence of periods is present in PCOS and having long periods is related to endometriosis so “IS IT POSSIBLE ENDOMETRIOSIS AND PCOS CAN BE FOUND TOGETHER”. The answer to this is “YES”. THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT CONDITIONS BUT QUITE COMMON AS WELL.

Its not uncommon to have PCOS and endometriosis at the same time.
